Digital Forensics: Assessing Enhanced Evidence Collection and New Perspectives for Strengthening Crime-Combating Efforts in the Bangladesh Police

This study, prompted by the increasing importance of digital evidence in criminal investigations, examines how digital forensics transforms crime combat within the Bangladesh Police. Using purposive sampling and multiple linear regression, we aimed to assess the specific impacts of enhanced evidence collection and new viewpoints gained through digital forensics. With a survey of 52 participants from the Bangladesh police department, we aimed to understand how digital forensics shapes law enforcement perspectives and effectiveness. The objectives, namely (i) assessing enhanced evidence collection, (ii) investigating the influence of new viewpoints, and (iii) understanding existing challenges, guided our inquiry. The findings underline the crucial role of digital forensics in optimizing investigative capabilities and address key challenges faced by the Bangladesh Police in the digital age.
