Asymmetric Optical Injection Locking Model for Semiconductor Lasers

Optical injection locking (OIL) has numerous advantages over semiconductor lasers, including an increased frequency response, a wide modulation bandwidth, and a low-frequency chirp. In this paper, we delve into various facets of optical injection locking for semiconductor lasers and present and analyze its different aspects. The stability range of the OIL is investigated and discussed in terms of the injection ratio and wavelength detuning. The locking range for various linewidth enhancement factor parameters is investigated. The impact of the coupling rate on the locking range is also explored and discussed. The results show that increasing the coupling rate from 500 to 1000 increases the wavelength detuning from 0.18 nm to 0.4 nm. .
