Wave Function Collapse Algorithm in Roguelite Game Level Design: An Analysis of Strategies and Challenges

The Wave Function Collapse Algorithm (WFC), a Procedural Content Generation (PCG) method based on input samples, offers game developers and artists a high level of control and customization. This study aims to explore the initial application of the WFC in Roguelite game level generation using the Unity Engine. The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential and challenges, thereby assisting game developers in utilizing the WFC more efficiently.
