Analysis and Design of a 31-Level Grid-Tied Multilevel Inverter with a Single Source Forward Converter

Renewable energy sources have gained popularity recently as a means of ensuring long-term growth. Solar, geothermal, biomass, and wind energy are examples of renewable energy sources. Because of their ease of supply and low maintenance needs, wind and solar electricity are the most popular options. This research proposes and builds an intelligent controller that can reliably offer a Forward converter with an isolated 31-level inverter for grid-connected mechanisms. MLIs require a variety of voltage sources, and due to the design of the inverter and switching methods, the majority of MLIs have distinct loads that are shared by the power sources. Here, we use a photovoltaic source as our only supply. Because a forward converter controlled by a PI controller is easier to operate, more practical, and offers better power tracking, it improves PV production. As an intermediary step between the converter and grid, this design incorporates an asymmetrical transmitted thirty-one-level multilevel inverter (MLI) to optimize consumption. The grid's current, voltage, and current are synchronized using the closed-loop control approach in order to run the inverter. The high voltage-gain ratio of the forward converter (FC) makes it useful. To demonstrate the efficacy of the grid-connected photovoltaic system, the experiment, as well as the illustration of the suggested Forward converter and the 31-level MLI setups with their control techniques, are executed in the MATLAB domain. The voltage gain obtained using Forward Converter is 8V and THD value of the Thirty one level inverter is 1.54%.
