A Half-Bridge Series-Resonant ZVS-PWM DC/AC Converter

This paper proposes a half-bridge series-resonant ZVS-PWM dc/ac converter. This circuit topology is half-bridge architecture which is composed of two capacitors, two power switches, a resonant tank, and an output filter. It uses the resonant tank to generate the high-frequency resonant voltage waveforms. They are combined to form a sinewave voltage waveform with lower high frequency harmonics. The resonant tank also provides zero voltage switching function on all power switches. Thus, the proposed topology has the characteristics of lower switch loss and lower EMI. The proposed converter uses sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) control method to regulate the output voltage and to get the good dynamic characteristic. This paper designs and makes a 600W dc/ac converter to verify circuit performance.
