Design and Implementation of ASCII Extended Character Password Input Module Based on Java GUI

This paper presents a Java Graphical User Interface (GUI)-based password management system designed to improve the security and complexity of user passwords. Traditional passwords include only 32 to 128 bits of the ASCII character set, and users cannot enter special characters as passwords. To solve this problem, we designed a program that can listen to the special characters generated by the user pressing the ALT plus numeric keypad combination on the keyboard and convert them into hexadecimal form for display. In addition, the program can store the password entered by the user in a database and match it with the stored passphrase to verify the correctness of the password. By introducing special characters and hexadecimal representation, we have improved the security of passwords and enhanced the management and security of user passwords by managing them in a database [1].
