A Novel Approach to Enhance Campus Lost and Found Services through Integration of QR Code with Personalized Item Registration

This research paper proposes a novel approach to enhancing campus lost and found services through the integration of QR codes with personalized item registration. The existing process typically relies on manual reporting and monitoring by owners, leading to inefficiencies and delays in item recovery. In contrast, our proposed system allows users to register their belongings on a campus lost and found website, including detailed information and personalized images. These images are converted into QR codes embedded with partial image data, facilitating quick identification of lost items. Finders can scan these QR codes to access the website and alert owners directly if a match is found, streamlining the retrieval process. Through user-friendly registration, comprehensive item details, personalization with images, QR code integration, and efficient item retrieval, our system significantly improves the effectiveness and convenience of campus lost and found services.
