Engineering Deployment Scheme of Wide-frequency Oscillation Monitoring Device in Power Grid

The high proportion of new energy access and the application of high proportion of power electronic equipment have caused a new type wide-frequency oscillation to the power grid. The wide-frequency measurement device can effectively monitor the wide-frequency oscillation of the power grid, but the lack of targeted guidance schemes for deployment caused the oscillation and its propagation cannot be accurately monitored. Firstly, the characteristic of deployment scheme of oscillation monitoring device is described, and the difference between this scheme and the optimal placement of PMU is analyzed. Then, the current deployment scheme of wide-frequency measurement device is discussed and the shortcomings are described. An improved method based on panoramic observability of grid topology is presented, the principle and specific method are discussed, and the feasibility is verified by combining the typical topology structure, which can realize the panoramic observation of the oscillation. Finally, the suggestion of engineering implementation is provided, which can provide support for the monitoring and traceability of wide-frequency oscillations in new power systems.
