Optimization Design of the Mining Crawler Converter Based on SSOA

This article aims to use the design method of the systematic safe operation area to study the design method of improving the reliability of the mining crawler converter. Firstly, based on the introduction of the concept of the systematic safe operation area of the device, a mathematical modeling analysis based on the systematic safe operation area carried out for the back-to-back converter such as mining crawler converter. Secondly, the selection formula for IGBT is provided, and the operating parameters of the device are optimized according to the redundancy of power devices, so as to maximize the utilization rate of devices and the reliability of the device while ensuring the safety of the device system.
