Reduced-order Computational Method for Magnetic-Thermal Coupling Problems Based on POD Basis Correction

This article introduces a reduced-order computational method for magnetic-thermal coupling problems based on POD basis corrections, which establishes a reduced-order subspace by the Proper Orthogonal Decomposition method to reduce the computational dimension of the magnetic-thermal coupling problem, and realizes the fast computation of the magnetic-thermal coupling nonlinear term by combining with the Discrete Empirical Interpolation Method Based on the computation of residuals as a judgment condition, the switching between the reduced-order computation and the full-order computation is carried out, and the POD basis is corrected to ensure the computation accuracy of the reduced-order model. The effectiveness of the method is verified by the numerical case of magnetic-thermal coupling, which is able to reduce the computation time by 85.94% compared with the full-order model under the guarantee of accuracy.
