Analysis of Transmission Tower Detuner Based on Characteristic Mode Theory

In order to reduce the reradiation interference of transmission tower, the existing detuner method can not solve the problem of reradiation interference of transmission tower conveniently. In this paper, the characteristic mode theory is introduced to study the application of the detuner. Firstly, we briefly introduce the characteristic mode theory, and apply the characteristic mode theory to calculate the transmission tower model. Then, according to the significance of the characteristic mode and the far field of the characteristic mode, the characteristic mode is screened, and the characteristic mode with the largest reradiation interference is selected. Finally, through the electromagnetic structure analysis of the characteristic mode with the greatest contribution to the reradiation interference of the transmission tower, the parser is installed at the maximum current of the characteristic mode, and the ideal installation position is proposed for the detuner. The results show that the main structure of the reradiation interference generated by the transmission tower is the tower pole, and the application of the detuner to destroy the structure can effectively suppress the reradiation interference of the transmission tower.
