Early Detection of Dementia Disease using Machine Learning

The potential for early dementia illness identification with machine learning approaches is investigated in this study. A form of neurodegenerative illness called dementia impairs cognitive functioning and gradually results in memory loss, faulty reasoning, and a diminished capacity to perform everyday tasks. For this disease to be effectively managed and treated, early identification is essential but the diagnostic techniques that are now in use are frequently arbitrary and dependent on in-depth clinical evaluations. Since machine learning algorithms can analyze enormous datasets and spot patterns that human observers would miss, they provide a chance to increase the efficiency and accuracy of dementia detection. This study suggests a framework for analyzing a variety of patient data, such as medical histories, neuroimaging scans, genetic markers, and cognitive test results, using machine learning models like support vector machines and deep neural networks. It is possible to create predictive models that reliably categorize people as either dementia-positive or dementia-negative by training these models using labeled datasets. The findings show that machine learning can predict dementia with high accuracy rates, providing a promising path for early intervention and individualized care. The results of this study have important ramifications for the healthcare industry, enables the opportunities for creating automated instruments that can help medical professionals identify dementia early.
