Digital Commerce and Big Data revolutionizing the tourism industry: A review article

Global tourism has demonstrated its ability to be a significant driver of economic expansion. Given that demand for tourism is still rising, many see it as a chance for emerging economies to thrive economically. The purpose of this study is to conduct a thorough analysis of the literature regarding the use of technology in the travel and tourism sector and create a connection between technological use and the growth of the tourism sector. Numerous and dispersed research has been conducted on e-tourism, smart tourism, and technology in tourism because of the various channels that customers utilize to access tourism services. By reviewing literature published in the last one decade, we attempt to synthesize the work and discuss the enabling environment of digital commerce and the way the big data model of tourism has revolutionized the sector.
