On-Chip Refractive Index Sensors Based on Plasmonic TiN Nanohole Arrays

On-chip refractive index sensors realized on the Si platform can address a wide range of applications. Here, we demonstrate the use of CMOS-compatible devices, which combine TiN nanohole arrays as sensors with Ge photodetectors as transducers, for the detection of bulk refractive index changes.
