Design and Feigning of a Multi Slot E-Shaped Antenna for an Intelligent Transportation Systems

Efforts are underway to explore the potential of millimeter and sub-millimeter wave bands for various applications. Wireless devices are set to utilize mm wave technology, utilizing high-frequency bandwidth. This technology boasts significantly higher data rates compared to Wi-Fi, making it suitable for applications like vehicle-to-vehicle communication, particularly in advanced transportation systems. MM wave technology finds use in integrated RF equipment for various purposes such as measurement, screening, detection, and safety to mitigate the costs associated with traffic collisions. This research focuses on creating and simulating a unique, multi-slot E-shaped antenna designed for millimeter wave (mmWave) applications. This groundbreaking approach intends to improve antenna capabilities and productivity in the elevated-frequency mmWave domain, fostering progress in wireless communication technologies. The antenna, comprising multiple layers of copper patches within a substrate, exhibits favorable characteristics in simulation, with an S11 below $10 \mathrm{~dB}$ across a frequency range of 2 to 11GHz, providing a bandwidth of 10GHz at a $10 \%$ return loss and a VSWR of less than 1.6. Additionally, it demonstrates an absolute gain exceeding $6 \mathrm{~dB}$ and nearly omnidirectional radiation patterns.
