Design of a Stack Based Compressor for High Speed Computation

This paper introduces a novel approach to digital data compression within a stack-based compressor, aiming to streamline operations and enhance performance. The innovative design leverages stacking blocks to efficiently consolidate input data, significantly reducing the delay in subsequent operations. The stacking process, which intelligently arranges input bits, allows for expedited result computation in the subsequent adder block. Through rigorous simulations and analyses, the proposed compressor design is evaluated in terms of average power, delay, and Power Delay Product (PDP). Comparative studies against existing designs, under identical technological and environmental conditions, demonstrate remarkable advantages. The proposed compressor exhibits a substantial 69.98% improvement in average power, a significant 51.32% reduction in delay, and an impressive 85.78% enhancement in PDP. These results highlight the efficacy of the stack-based compressor in not only reducing operational delay but also significantly improving overall speed and efficiency in digital data processing. The innovative combination of stacking techniques and optimized adder blocks positions this compressor design as a promising solution for expediting operations in digital signal processing applications.
