Crowded Massive MIMO Systems: A Random-Access Protocol forPilot Allocation

To control the explosive expansion of wireless data traffic, a large multiple-input multiple was used. The spatial multiplexing of many tens of user equipments (UEs) allows massive MIMO to attain incredible spectral efficiency. These improvements can only be realized in real life if many more UEs than currently exist can connect to the network in an effective manner. The randomaccess mechanism is crucial to distributing the finite number of pilots across the UEs when the number of UEs rises and each UE only sometimes enters the network. We explore the random access problem in the context of Massive MIMO in this research and create a redesigned protocol called Strongest-User Collision Resolution (SUCRe). With the chance that other UEs will also submit the same pilot, an accessing UE requests a dedicated pilot by sending an ad hoc random access pilot. With the help of distributed collision detection, which is made possible by the advantageous massive MIMO channel propagation, each UE can assess the strength of the competing signals and choose to repeat the pilot if it believes that its signal is the strongest at the receiver. Most issues are resolved with the SUCRe protocol. In dense metropolitan settings, the pilot collides, but continues to allow UEs effectively in congested networks.
