Streamlining Industrial Tank Monitoring and Maintenance: An Innovative Compact IoT Based Rover System

This paper presents an IoT-enabled tank maintenance and monitoring rover that aims to improve efficiency and safety in industrial tank cleaning operations. The system is automated and equipped with gas and ultrasonic sensors, a camera, and a web-based interface for real-time monitoring. The Raspberry Pi serves as the central processing unit. The high-pressure waterjet and crack detection system clean and identify defects in tanks, while the gas sensor detects hazardous gases, and the ultrasonic sensor ensures safe operation. The camera provides live video-streaming, and the web-based interface allows remote monitoring and control. The system is adaptable to different tank sizes and configurations, and the use of IoT technology provides real-time monitoring for operators. The proposed system has the potential to revolutionize industrial tank cleaning operations by improving efficiency and worker safety through real-time monitoring and control.
