Experimental Evaluation of Smart Forest Fire Detection Methodology using Internet of Things and Logical Sensors

Forest fires typically involve accidents; the destruction of forests poses a significant threat to both humans and other wildlife. The term Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the network of interconnected physical devices that allow everyday items to communicate with one another and share data over an online network The primary goal of this article is to use temperature, humidity, and other variables to forecast the fire’s future trajectory. To improve the efficacy of the fire detection process, an Internet of Things (IoT) based system may receive data on humidity and temperature from a variety of sensors. For the purpose of avoiding the need to achieve high reliability prevention, the proposed Io T based forest fire detection mechanism (IoTFFD) can use a threshold value of each sensor to validate the data. To test how well the scheme worlss, it is cross-validated with the conventional Smart Forest Fire Identifier (SFFI). This system presents the architecture of an IoT framework for monitoring and avoiding forest fires. To avoid a disaster (a forest fire) that could lead to the loss of many natural resources, wildlife, and human lives, it is necessary to first understand how to integrate a valid network architecture that can detect possible changes in the ecosystem. This will allow us to begin investigating the causes of forest fires and developing effective prevention strategies. Our device’s primary function is to use GSM, a buzzer, and the Internet of Things to identify a forest fire and sound an alert. A variety of sensors are integrated into the system’s architecture; these sensors are crucial for identifying forest fires and notifying local residents. In addition, the monitored region may be tracked in real-time through the IOT portal. In addition, we have included a defensive setup that uses a servo motor to water the area surrounding the setup in the event of a small fire.
