Real-Time Secure Web-Based Chat Application using Django

The Internet has brought the entire world within our reach, allowing us to do everything from sharing information to purchasing products online. This has made the world feel smaller, and the current project also relies on the Internet. The objective of the project is to develop a web-based application that enables users to establish immediate and live connections. A chat application is a feature that enables online users to connect with one another directly, and it is critical to prioritize error-free data flow when developing such applications. Chat software allows users to communicate even when they are geographically separated. Encryption is an effective solution for preventing hackers or intruders from stealing data, and the N-TEA algorithm is recommended for securing chat messages in web apps. The N-TEA algorithm is a real-time encryption system that operates independently of the type of data being transmitted and is supported by a reliable encryption method. According to research findings, the N-TEA algorithm can securely transmit messages, with a 36.72% avalanche effect caused by a change in plaintext character and a 42.9% avalanche impact due to the change in the encryption key character. The App is developed using Django Framework in the back end and CSS and HTML in the front end.
