Non-uniform Node Dynamic Deployment Clustering Algorithm Based on Virtual Force

In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), node deployment and partition strategy are two important aspects to evaluate network performance. Although many existing deployment and partitioning algorithms have achieved the goal of averaging node distribution and optimizing network structure, for the uneven distribution of energy and information in non-uniform networks, it is easy to lead to significant shortening of network lifespan and premature occurrence of energy holes and other issues. Taking into account the aforementioned drawbacks, this paper puts forth a Virtual Force-based Non-uniform Node Dynamic Deployment And Clustering Algorithm(VFNDDCA). On the basis of the virtual force algorithm, the force models of different grids on nodes under different energy consumption levels are designed. This algorithm dynamically deploys nodes according to changes in energy coverage to optimize network performance, and makes reasonable partitions according to the deployed node distribution to optimize the energy supply mechanism. Simulation results demonstrate the algorithm’s ability to significantly extend network lifespan, achieve load balancing, avoid energy holes and reduce node energy consumption in non-uniform networks.
