Steady State and Dynamic Optimization of the Drive Systems with Surface-Mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines

The paper deals with a problem not approached in the literature: the achievement of a control system that ensures optimization in both steady state and dynamic operation. The problem refers to a drive system with a surface mounted permanent magnet synchronous machine. The aim is to minimize the power dissipated on the stator winding in steady state, respectively the energy dissipated in dynamic mode. The main difference that appears refers to the current limitation. A solution for an adequate control system is indicated. The results are validated by simulations.
