3D Single-Pixel Imaging by Virtual Binocular Vision

This paper proposes a system for spectroscopic 3D single-pixel imaging (SPI) using virtual binocular stereo vision. It pertains to the benefits and features of binocular vision's low price, straightforward system architecture, and satisfactory precision. The system utilizes a spatial light modulator (SLM), two beam splitters, two planar mirrors, and two band-pass filters. Consequently, an equivalent virtual binocular vision system is established at a low cost. Using only one SLM, the system can simultaneously capture images from both the left and right perspectives. Once the system has been calibrated, it can use trigonometric principles to reconstruct the 3D data of objects. The scheme has been shown to be effective in experiments.
