Bridge Resonant LLC Converter for Wide Load Variations with Fixed Frequency Controlled by Duty Cycle

Recently, the use of direct current (DC) has become popular considering the several applications such as, High Voltage Direct Current transmission line (HVDC) and the usage in many electronic equipment. This situation has contributed to the usage of converter technologies in order to convert direct current (DC) to other direct current (DC) with improved performance. plenty of converter topologies and studies have been introduced over the years but most of the previous researches have drawbacks, either technical or financial. Therefore, this study proposes a full bridge resonant LLC converter with fixed frequency controlled by duty cycle for wide load variations. The proposed converter is designed in the Matlab Simulink by controlling the duty cycle of the converter with fixed frequency in resonant frequency (fr) and switching frequency (fs). All data analysis and simulation have been performed for this converter in order to gain performance. The proposed converter has indicated a good performance in term of efficiency, voltage gain and boosting capabilities. The obtained findings have been verified by previous research, and the proposed methodology has shown to produce comparable and enhanced results.
