Selection of Medium Voltage Enclosed Busbar System in Power Plant

This special report firstly compares several types of medium voltage busbar systems, including enclosed busbar with shared enclosure, small phase-to-phase enclosed busbar, cable busbar, and insulated copper tube busbar, used in the current project. It highlights the advantages and disadvantages of each busbar type. Then, considering the technical parameters of the medium voltage busbar system in the power plant and conducting a technical and economic comparison, the most optimal medium voltage busbar system is selected, which ensures system reliability while also being cost-effective. Finally, the shared enclosure busbar is recommended for implementation in power plant project.
