Study on Reasonable Aggregation Capacity of Offshore Wind Power Directly Sending to Load Centers

VSC-HVDC is widely used for offshore wind power integration. The improvement of cluster capacity is an important trend in offshore wind power development. With the increase of cluster capacity, the capacity of the VSC-HVDC at receiving-end will also be significantly increased. However, the ability of different receiving-end power grids to withstand offshore wind power sending by VSC-HVDC varies. How to obtaining a reasonable range of aggregation capacity for offshore wind power on the basis of meeting system stability requirements, has become a crucial issue that urgently needs to be addressed. This study will focus on the impact of different VSC-HVDC capacities of offshore wind power onshore stations on system stability. For system stability, key factors affecting offshore wind power collection capacity will be extracted to obtain a reasonable range.
