Application of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Smart Buildings

Amid the swift evolution of the construction industry, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data (BD) technology has become pivotal in enhancing the potential of smart buildings. With the infusion of technology into the lives of individuals, the assimilation of information processing into their routine life endeavors and possessions has led to a notable shift in their lifestyle. The utilization of BD technology further enhances the decision-making process by providing optimization opportunities and approaches for intricate decision-making and multidimensional probability calculations. In addition, BD technology can automate repetitive data collection and fitting tasks, resulting in increased operational efficiency. This paper firstly focuses on the overview and background of AI. Then, the applications of AI and BD technology for intelligent buildings in different use scenarios are explored to enhance the user experience. The objective of this paper is to clarify the application scenarios of this technology, so as to promote the development of intelligent infrastructure in the construction industry.
