Eliminating Insignificant Periods in Forex Analysis for Accurate Results

In this research, we conducted an extensive analysis using a dataset comprising over 48,000 data points to determine optimal period values for 30 different symbols. Our investigation covered four distinct timeframes for each symbol, including H1, H4, D1, and W1. The comprehensive results of our study are presented in Tables 2 to 7 for reference. The application of this information is straightforward. For instance, if we need to configure the Period for the EMA indicator within the D1 time frame for the GBPUSD currency pair, considering an acceptable percent error of 3%, we can refer to Table 4. It provides an appropriate Period value for the GBPUSD D1 currency pair, which is 38. This value can then be utilized as the Period setting for the EMA indicator or other relevant indicators.
