Intelligent Supply Chain Orchestration: A Framework for Seamless Integration of Industry 4.0 Technologies

In the changing dynamic world of supply chain, organizations need to embrace Intelligent Supply chain which is the adoption of various available recent technologies to enable a more responsive, agile, efficient and dependable supply chain process to have a competitive advantage in the market. Intelligent supply chain orchestration is a framework for integrating and optimizing the flow of information, materials and financial resources across the entire supply chain network using recent intelligent technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (I?T), and big data analytics. ISC can support entities to progress in their supply chain metrics in terms of efficiency, responsiveness, agility, and resilience. The paper introduces the concept of ISC followed by a literature review based on the search from the dimensions’ database and keyword analysis performed by using Vos Viewer. The paper follows the literature review by addressing the need for ISC in the rapidly evolving business world based on literature review. This paper then presents an ISC framework that is explicitly intended for the seamless integration of Industry 4.0 technologies throughout the supply chain.
