Development of a Webgis for Cereal Lands Inventory City of Sidi-Bel-Abbes

This article examines Web mapping technologies with an attention on architectures. Numerous Web GIS products from leading GIS sectors have been scientifically assessed. This paper presents an approach to Web mapping development, starting with a needs analysis and ending with GIS use and updating. The primary goal of this Web-mapping was to design and implement a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) using open-source technology. This custom, comprehensive, and user-friendly geospatial system aimed to integrate and manage data from multiple end-users. The process of dissemination of cereal-growing information’s in sidi bel abbes, Algeria, over the Internet is presented as a successful implementation of this task, and can be easily deployed by a wide range of geographic information end users.
