Italian Space Agency’s Scientific Downstream Applications from Multi-Frequency SAR to Hyperspectral Prisma Data

An overview of the applications that are currently developed based on multi-frequency Synthetic Aperture Radar and hyperspectral optical data is provided, in the context of the scientific downstream roadmap implemented by the Italian Space Agency (ASI). A selection of results is showcased, with particular reference to "Multi-mission and multi-frequency SAR", "PRISMA Scienza" and "Development of hyperspectral advanced prototype products" programs. The most emerging applications include precision farming, assessment of natural and anthropogenic hazards, water quality and forest monitoring.
