An omnidirectional antenna for CPE device application

We use magnetic current and electric current to form desired omni-directional radiation factor owing to the current phase difference is 90 degrees. In this paper, the radiation elements form as a circle to control the phase difference, adopting three elements with simple structures are placed at specific angles each other to generate omnidirectional far-field in XY-plane. The overall size that we proposed design is 44.40(L) x 39.90(W) mm
²
to apply in CPE device. The antenna is fabricated on FR4 substrate with thickness of 0.8mm with S11 <= -10 dB impedance matching level. In the future work, it can apply to MIMO system with high isolation at close distance.
