Field Measurement on an Extended Pseudo-Scale Model of Air-Shallow Sea Problems at 200 MHz

To solve a difficulty in conductivity-invariant pseudo-scale models or the inability to satisfy the conducting medium condition after scale conversion, we apply a pseudo-scale model that allows conductivity changes before and after scale conversion to the air-sea water two-layer problem and measure field distributions in a tank installed in the laboratory. We construct an experimental system simulating air-seawater problem, and measure the received power distribution from a transmitting antenna with a scale factor of n=200 and a conductivity magnifier of m=2, and compared it with the simulated distribution by using FDTD method for the original model with (n, m) = (1, 1). We also compare the measured distribution for the conductivity-changing pseudo-scale model with (n, m) = (200, 2) with that of the conductivity-invariant pseudo-scale model with (n, m) = (100, 1), and discuss how the reflected waves from the tank wall affect the distribution.
