Dinuclear Eu (III)-ß-Diketonates with Tetraphosphine Tetraoxide Ligand and their LED Applications

We previously developed novel dinuclear Eu(III)-ß-diketonates with a branched tetraphosphine tetraoxide ligand., tris(4-diphenylphosphinylbutyl) phosphine oxide (TDPBPO) which are promising candidates as phosphors for LED devices, security media, and sensing thanks to their sharp red emission, large quantum yields, and large molar absorption coefficients. In this work, we implement one in a UV -excited LED device and successfully obtain large red emission intensity with much lower phosphor concentrations compared to KSF red phosphor.
