Preparation and Characterization of Expanded Graphite/Polymer Composites with Enhanced Thermal Conductivity

Thermal conductivity is one of important characteristic for polymer materials. Polymer with high thermal conductivity could be applied in many fields, such as electronics and heat exchangers. Herein, we added expanded graphite (EG) into polydimethylsiloxane composites to enhance the thermal conductivities of the composites. The thermal conductivity of EG/polydimethylsiloxane composites (2.3 W/mK) is greatly improved compared with pristine polydimethylsiloxane composites (0.56 W/mK).
