Determination of the Volume that a Syringe Pump can provide for Fluids Injection into Nanochannels

The injection of fluids through nanochannels is made using a microfluidic pump, for this specific application is needed that a non-commercial syringe pump can inject a minimum of 50 μL of fluids with density similar to distilled water. In this paper the design of a syringe pump and the determination of the minimum volume that can provide using a 1 mL syringe allows to deliver a volume of 30.75 nL per motor step, by changing the delays per step via software, the flow rate can be modified depending on the applications requirements.
