A Comparison Between Ga-MoS2 and Al-MoSe2 for Detecting Volatile Organic Compounds for Lung Cancer Detection

This paper presents a comparative analysis of two metal-doped 2D Transitional metal dichalcogenide (TMD) materials, Ga-MoS2 and Al-MoSe
2
, as potential biosensors for volatile organic gas for lung cancer detection. The first principal DFT calculation evaluates their adsorption energy, band structure and density of states. The results reveal distinct performance characteristics, shedding light on their suitability for specific gas-sensing applications and providing valuable insights for developing advanced biosensors. Finally, a comparison has been shown between our results and the previously published works. The results obtained a more robust biosensor.
