New Social Venture Ideation of the Future Generation of Entrepreneurs: Conceptual Model Exploring the Effects of Compassion, Innovative Work Behavior, and ICTs

New social venture ideation plays a crucial role in advancing the economy and fostering economic sustainability. This study aims to examine the direct effects of compassion on the new venture ideation process among students by taking into consideration the moderating role of innovative work behavior and the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Using the social identity theory, this study developed and proposed a conceptual model highlighting the positive association between compassion and new social venture ideation, which is moderated by innovative work behavior and the use of ICTs in such a way that individuals with highly innovative work behavior and adept to using ICTs will be more likely to engage in new social venture ideation. This study helps to expand research on new social venture creation, innovation, and new technologies.
