Analysis of Harmonic Impedance and Harmonic Current Exceeding Standard in Wind Farm

New energy including power electronic converters are applied to the new power systems. However, the power quality problems of the wind farm are becoming more and more serious, which affects the power quality at the point of the common coupling (PCC). It is beneficial to establish separately the harmonic models of the power grid and the wind farm. The research work first introduces the harmonic sources models. The harmonic characteristics of the grid-connected wind farm are put forward in order to reveal the generation mechanism for the grid-connected harmonic problem of wind farm. The reason of the harmonic current method is found that cause by the coupling for the collector line of the wind farm in a wind farm operation case.
