Underwater Power Transmission Cable Positioning Method Based on Dual Triaxial Coil Sensors

The detection and positioning of underwater power transmission cables are crucial for the operation and maintenance of marine power transmission projects. Existing location solutions are primarily based on magnetic detection via electromagnetic induction, but often suffer from imperfections and a lack of experimental validation. This paper proposes an undersea cable location method that uses a twin triple-axis coil sensor. This method is more comprehensive and feasible and can accurately calculate the relative distance and angle between the detection base array and the undersea cable. After mathematical modeling, the feasibility of the method was verified through experiments.
