Optimal Scheduling Strategy for Integrated Electricity-Gas System Considering Demand Response

Against the backdrop of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, the integrated electricity-gas system (IEGS) has attracted widespread attention for its multi-energy interoperability and improved energy utilization, while the development of IEGS has led to more dispatchable demand-side resources in the distribution network actively participating in regulation. An optimal scheduling model for IEGS considering price demand response (PDR) is presented in the paper, which introduces time-of-use tariff strategy and load classification, and the model effectively exploits the energy complementary characteristics of IEGS. Secondly, a model describing the cost of an electrochemical energy storage system (EESS) in the distribution network in terms of levelized cost of electricity (LCOE), achieves synergy between total system economics and reliability. Finally, simulations were conducted using the IEEE 33-bus distribution network and a 20-bus natural gas network, and the problem was solved using mixed-integer linear programming. The results indicate that the optimization scheduling model proposed in the text can effectively reduce the overall operating costs of the system and significantly decrease the peak-to-valley load difference.
