Optimization of Inner Blade Angle of Gasifier Nozzle Based on Pulverized Coal Motion Characteristics

Coal remains a primary energy source in today’s world, emphasizing the importance of its efficient and clean utilization. The growing awareness of energy conservation and environmental protection has made the pursuit of such practices a top priority. Coal gasification has been recognized as an effective method for reducing pollution, highlighting the importance of understanding the particle trajectory of coal dust within the gasifier to advance gasification technology. This study focuses on analyzing the motion laws and trajectories of coal dust during gasification through numerical simulations. By employing a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model, the research intricately simulates the flow patterns within the gasifier and examines the impact of various blade inclination angles of the cyclone assembly inside the nozzle in a cold state on particle trajectories. The findings reveal that the trajectories of coal dust within the gasifier are significantly influenced by the blade angle, with a comparative analysis determining a relative optimal angle at 30°. These insights not only deepen our understanding of particle motion laws during pulverized coal gasification but also lay essential groundwork for optimizing the gasification process. The study contributes to enhancing gasification efficiency and reducing energy losses, offering crucial insights for future technological advancements in clean coal technology.
