Roadside Radar System for Target Detection

In this research, we address the limitations of smaller-scale radar systems by proposing a cost-effective solution for simultaneous multiple-target detection. Current radar technologies, although highly functional on a global scale, face challenges at smaller scopes, particularly in detecting multiple targets simultaneously. Our designed radar, operational within a small range, demonstrated the ability to differentiate between two objects placed at a certain distance, dependent on calculated parameters. This paper details the design of a fully functional radar employing the pulse Doppler technique, encompassing methodologies, timeline, literature review, results, calculations, and future work. Utilizing CST software for filter design and pulse generation, we employ RF components from mini-circuits, with MATLAB and Proteus facilitating digital signal processing. Our research lays the foundation for advancements in small-scale radar systems.
