Design of Function Variant System for Embedded Relay Protection Devices

Due to the differences in geographical environment and customer requirements, the protection function requirements for embedded relay protection devices are also very customized in different regions. Based on extensive engineering practice experience, this article proposes a function variant system that can customize the functions of relay protection devices according to user requirements through the variant and configuration of hardware basic components, mandatory software components, and optional software components, without the need for repeated modification and testing of functions. And the system has allocated function variant codes for hardware basic components and optional software components, making it easy to identify and select. The practical results show that this system will greatly improve the development and configuration efficiency of embedded relay protection devices, shorten the development cycle, reduce development labor costs, increase product competitiveness and demand response efficiency.
