Power System Emergency Load Shedding Strategy Based on Improved POA-GWO Algorithm

To address the issue of system frequency and voltage deviation resulting from power shortages in the power system, this paper proposes a load shedding strategy of distribution network based on POA-GWO algorithm. Firstly, considering the safety and economy of the power system, the total amount of load shedding and the penalty function are taken as the objectives. Secondly, the load shedding optimization model is established with constraints such as transient frequency, voltage offset, line overload and node load shedding limit. Then, in order to improve the search ability of the algorithm, based on the pelican optimization algorithm (POA), the nonlinear inertia weight factor and the wolf group leader strategy in the grey wolf optimization algorithm (GWO) are introduced to update the individual ‘s position. Finally, based on the modified IEEE33 node, the empirical analysis is carried out, and the improved POA-GWO algorithm proposed in this paper is used to solve the emergency load shedding model, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.
