Energy Storage System Configuration Method for Medium-voltage Distribution Network Supporting the Development of New Energy in Counties

For the consumption improvement of large-scale new energy generation in county distribution networks, an energy storage system(ESS) configuration method based on layered sensitivity coefficient is proposed in this paper. Based on the typical daily characteristics of annual operation, an ESS configuration model is established with the objective of minimizing the total cost of the entire life cycle, taking into account the ESS constraints of planning and operating respectively. A method of layered sensitivity coefficients is proposed for the decoupling of the nonlinear relationship between the active power and voltage in the model. For the nonlinear product term in the ESS operating constraint, an auxiliary variables based method is presented. Through case verification, the proposed ESS configuration method can obtain reliable and accurate configuration strategies, and solve the abnormal voltage problem caused by the large-scale new energy generation in the medium-voltage distribution network.
