A Novel Model for Vulnerability Analysis of Communication Network in Intelligent Substation

To address the limitations of traditional complex network theory in vulnerability analysis, a novel service-based vulnerability analysis method for communication network of intelligent substation is proposed. The model analyzes the service flow information flowing through the communication network, and establishes the communication network model of intelligent substation based on complex network theory. Moreover, integrating service information and topology information, a service-based node importance contribution matrix is proposed. Taking into consideration the local service importance and global topology importance of substation communication network, the vulnerability of communication nodes based on the service flow is described. The simulation results show that compared with previous methods based on complex network theory, the proposed model can more accurately identify vulnerable nodes in the communication system of intelligent substations.
