Optimization of Hydro-Photovoltaic Joint Scheduling Based on Multi-Objective Coati Algorithm

The coordinated operation of hydro and solar power involves a scheduling approach aimed at optimizing the usage of hydroelectric regulation capacity to mitigate the fluctuations induced by solar photovoltaics. In the electricity market environment, overly relying on hydro to absorb solar power may lead to reduced profitability for hydroelectric plants. Therefore, multi-objective scheduling methods are of significant research importance. This paper constructs a multi-objective scheduling model for hydro-solar systems composed of economic and environmental components and solves it using the raccoon optimization algorithm. Firstly, the model considers price fluctuations in the electricity market and the risk of curtailment due to solar fluctuations. Secondly, due to the high complexity of the problem, the paper introduces the multi-objective raccoon optimization algorithm and makes improvements to address the problem. Finally, through experimental comparisons, the efficacy of the proposed model and method is confirmed through validation experiments.
