Joint clearing model of electricity-carbon coupling market based on unified bidding trading pattern

To enhance stakeholder engagement in the power industry and promote active participation in carbon market trading, this paper proposes a joint clearing model of the electricity spot market and carbon market based on a unified bidding trading pattern. Firstly, the trading mechanism of carbon market in unified bidding pattern is designed, and the marginal cost pricing method is used to price the carbon trading commodity. On this basis, the coupling market cooperative operation mechanism is proposed according to the production and consumption characteristics of electricity producers. Then, the coupling constraints of electricity and carbon trading between two markets are constructed, and the joint clearing model of electricity-carbon coupling market based on complementary structure is established based on the collaboration mechanism. Finally, the KKT conditions are used to establish the auxiliary decision problem from the perspective of maximizing the overall social benefits, and the effectiveness of the proposed method in promoting carbon emission reduction and improving social benefits is verified by numerical results of different scales.
