Development of an Unmanned Ground Vehicle for Pesticide Spraying in Chilli Crop

Chilli (Capsicum annum L.) is most widely grown commercial and famous spice exported from India contributing about 25 per cent of the world's total production. The present work is an endeavor to develop a low-cost Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) for pesticide spraying in chilli field. To arrive at the specifications of the UGV, detailed literature survey and field visit was done to collect various information related to manual spraying techniques, motion control of UGV, the proposed project which is used for small scale land hold farmers they were having a land of 1 acre, according to the field visit. Even the UGV is used maximum 2 to 3 acre it is capable of spraying in chilli crop field. Once the UGV is turned on, ESP-32 starts to initialize Wi-Fi connection with mobile hotspot and if the hotspot connection is establishing the UGV is online with the blynk application which is ready to send video stream and at some time accept user input, in blynk application there are input buttons to control UGV which are movements steering, pump on and off actions, forward, and backward motions, When user press any of the buttons the value of the button is sent to ESP32 Cam where it compares the output and performs the required actions like steering movements and pump control spraying operation.
